Dr.Chandrakanth K S is the chairman and chief consultant of the hospital. He dedicated 12 years of his service as a senior consultant ophthalmic surgeon in the most renowned Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai. He then served as a chief consultant in Comtrust Eye Hospital, Calicut and later as chairman and the chief consultant of Malabar Eye Hospital, Calicut.

He has been instrumental in bringing out a revolution in the ophthalmic sector in the Malabar region by introducing the state of the art technologies like the phaco-emulsification system for cataract removal, cutting-edge technologies like LASIK laser for the treatment of refractive errors and to avoid thick spectacles, Retinal lasers for treating diabetic, hypertensive retinopathy and other retinal vascular disorders, Yag laser for treating glaucoma and cataract.Also the FFA to detect retinal vascular disorders.
