Baby Memorial Hospital in association with Airports Authority of India has started the medical unit at Calicut International Airport on 5th June 2017. Calicut Airport Director Mr J T Radhakrishna inaugurated the Medical unit. The medical unit will provide medical support in the event of any medical emergencies to passengers, visitors, employees and other airport users. The medical unit is manned 24/7 by 3 doctors and emergency medical services staff. The two beded unit is equipped with Emergency Crash cart, Manual defibrillator, suction apparatus, oxygen cylinders, ECG Machine, Spine Board and medicines. It aims to provide immediate medical attention for all medical emergencies that may occur in the airport.
